MotoLanka respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we manage user information and advertisements in a secure and professional manner when you browse, register, or list vehicles on our platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information differently depending on whether you are browsing as a buyer or posting ads as a seller:

For Buyers & Visitors:

We do not require account registration or collect personal details if you are only browsing. We gather anonymous site interaction metrics, page selections, and leasing calculator preferences. If you use the bookmark feature, saved listings are stored locally in your browser's internal storage.

For Sellers & Advertisers:

To list a vehicle for sale, we collect registration details including your phone number (verified via OTP), secure passwords, and profile names. During profile completion, we collect your address, district, city, and optional business coordinates (latitude/longitude) or business registration info to display locations on listings. We also host the images and vehicle descriptions you upload.

2. How We Use & Share Data

We process collected information to deliver vehicle marketplace services:

For Buyers & Visitors:

We use anonymous tracking metrics to optimize search results, customize user interfaces, and calculate leasing EMI guidelines.

For Sellers & Advertisers:

We publish your vehicle details, descriptions, pricing, and uploaded images publicly. Your phone number and WhatsApp contact link will be revealed to interested buyers upon clicking call indicators. We do not sell your personal registration details to unaffiliated third-party marketing networks.

3. Cookies & Browser Storage

We use standard session cookies and browser web storage (such as LocalStorage and browser-based databases) to support core functions:

To authorize and maintain your dashboard login sessions securely.
To store vehicles in your saved list local cache when browsing without an active account.
To temporarily preserve local drafts of vehicle listing wizards during creation.

4. Advertisement Expiration

To keep the marketplace active and accurate for all users:

Advertisements published on MotoLanka will remain active for up to 3 months (90 days) from the date of publication.
After 3 months, listings automatically expire and will be hidden from public browsing results.
Sellers can manually reactivate or renew their listings from their user dashboard prior to or after expiration to extend visibility.

5. Your Rights & Deletion

You maintain full control over your listings and profile information:

You can update, edit, deactivate, or delete any vehicle listing at any time from your profile manager.
You can request the complete deletion of your seller account through the dashboard Settings panel.
Upon deletion, your account and ads are hidden immediately. Your details are permanently erased or anonymized from our production databases after a 30-day grace period (allowing you time to recover your account if requested by mistake).
